  21. Go to the \SPNP directory and run the CONFIG utility (from DOS).  Or at least 
  22. try, since it tells you it may hang if it gets confused, and then usually 
  23. does.  And pray that it doesn't screw up your Windows settings.

  25. Your best option (if it's not too late) is to send the damned thing back and 
  26. get a real modem.  Even if you have their initialization strings, half don't 
  27. work because they have one online document for all their modems.
